Purchasing a new device is a hard choice to make: especially when you suspect it might not be 100% efficient. Nonetheless, purchasing a device with a warranty reassures you of the eligibility of that device. This time we will be considering Apple’s iPhone. Apple’s iPhone warranty briefly:
“Includes a year of hardware repairs and 90 days of free technical support by phone”.
For the iPhone specifically, you can either check the serial number or IMEI number. Let’s talk about the steps involved in checking the warranty on your iPhone:
To check your warranty status on your device, you have to first know your serial or IMEI/MEID number and your iPhone model. The two-staged process involves:
First of all, verify your iPhone’s IMEI/MEID or serial number.
Then, check the warranty status.
The following devices have their serial number in settings and IMEI/MEID mentioned on their sim-tray. Use either of them ( IMEI/MEID or the serial number) to check warranty status.
Now, on the below devices, to do an iPhone IMEI warranty check, you will find their serial number in the phone settings and their IMEI/MEID at the back of the phone (comprising the first 14 digits):
And, for these devices, you’d find both the phone’s serial number and IMEI/MEID engraved on the sim tray.
Lastly, for your original iPhone device, find the serial number and IMEI/MEID on the back of the phone.
Now that you know how to find your serial number, let’s find how to check your iPhone’s warranty.

Step1: Simply check the sim tray in the iPhone which holds the IMEI/MEID as designed by apple (if your iPhone model supports this),
Step2: Search the back of the device for regulatory information which will include IMEI on cellular-connected models (if your iPhone model supports this),
